Privacy

This site counts pageviews with a small, self-hosted, first-party collector — not a third-party analytics product. It's designed to answer "what's being read" without being able to identify who's reading it.

What is collected

• The page path you visited (from a fixed, known list of pages)
• A coarse device class — desktop, mobile, tablet, or bot
• Where a page links you here from a browser or app that can send it, the referring site's domain — never a full URL. This site's own pages are loaded with a plain image and can't supply this.

Every visit only ever increments a handful of daily counters (total pageviews, pageviews for that path, pageviews for that device class). No record of any individual visit is ever written.

What is not collected

• No cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage, or any other client-side storage
• No visitor, session, or device identifier of any kind
• Your IP address is never stored or logged
• No country, region, city, or precise location — this site does not currently collect geography at all
• No unique visitor counts, sessions, or time-on-page
• No advertising identifiers, and no data is shared with advertisers

How it's collected

This page and the rest of the site load with zero JavaScript. A single 1×1 transparent image loads on each page, whose request increments the counters above — the same mechanism as the image files elsewhere on this site, not a tracking script.

Retention

Aggregated counts are kept for 400 days and then automatically deleted. Nothing is retained indefinitely.
